Restaurant Feedback Surveys
Capture feedback the moment a visit ends — by table kiosk, QR code, link or email — with conditional follow-ups that ask what went wrong only after a low score. A low-scoring response can reach your team straight away for service recovery, and every result is broken down by question and channel.
A restaurant feedback survey is how a venue asks guests about their visit — by table kiosk, QR code, link or email — and turns the answers into action: a low score can reach your team immediately for service recovery, while every response feeds analytics broken down by question and channel. HospitalityTechAI's Reviews module builds the survey, wires the follow-up logic, and runs it across every channel from one place.
Built by a product studio
Built to catch a bad visit before it's public.
Part of HexaTech, HospitalityTechAI brings guest feedback, reservations and CRM into one workspace — designed so a low-scoring response reaches a human straight away, not a workflow that decides who gets asked to review you publicly.
- Capture feedback by table kiosk, QR code, link or email — one survey, every channel
- Conditional follow-ups ask "what went wrong?" only after a low score
- A low-scoring response can route to your team immediately for service recovery
- Per-question, per-channel analytics with CSV export
What you can do
Real feedback, the moment it happens.
Survey builder & question types
Compose a survey from eight question types — star rating, smileys, NPS (0–10), a 1–10 scale, single/multiple choice, yes/no, and short or long text — with drag-to-reorder, a Required toggle and a live inline preview as you build.
Conditional follow-ups
Wire a follow-up to appear only after a chosen answer — with one-click pre-wired options for a low star rating or a low NPS score. The follow-up appears only when the trigger is met, and answers to any skipped question are never stored.
Design & kiosk mode
Choose a classic card layout, best for email, or a full-screen, one-question-per-screen layout built for kiosks and pop-ups — with a themed look, a welcome screen, and a kiosk-only auto-reset after a thank-you or when a guest walks away.
Four delivery channels
Send the same survey by web/QR link, an embeddable website widget (floating button, popup or corner slide-up), a tokenized email invitation, or a tablet kiosk — every response tagged with the channel it came from.
Feedback kiosks
Register a tablet, get a stable kiosk link, and assign it a survey. The kiosk re-checks its assignment every 60 seconds, so changing the survey from your desk repoints the tablet within a minute — you never touch the device again.
Analytics & CSV export
See responses by question and by channel — distributions, averages and NPS — over 7, 30 or 90 days, plus a submissions log you can export to CSV.
How it works
From a tap on a tablet to a fix on the floor.
Build a survey
Start from a basic 5-star form or compose your own from eight question types — stars, smileys, NPS, a 1–10 scale, choice, yes/no or text — with a live preview as you go.
Add follow-ups
Wire a follow-up question to appear only on a chosen answer, in one click — for example only after a low star rating or a low NPS score.
Send it, every channel
Share the web or QR link, paste the website-widget snippet, send a tokenized email invitation, or assign the survey to a tablet kiosk — one survey, four channels, each response tagged by source.
Act and measure
A low-scoring response can reach your team straight away for service recovery, while the Analytics tab shows results by question and channel, exportable to CSV.
Is it the right fit?
Where this restaurant feedback tool fits.
| Best fit for | Restaurants, bars and venues that want structured, actionable guest feedback — captured by kiosk, QR, link and email, with conditional follow-ups and a route to service recovery. |
|---|---|
| Not ideal for | Venues wanting a tool that filters or gates which guests get asked to leave a public review — we don't build that — or a full hotel PMS (that's our sibling site). |
| Key features | Survey builder with eight question types, conditional follow-up logic, four delivery channels, feedback kiosks with 60-second repoint, and per-question analytics with CSV export. |
| Next step | Book a demo to see a survey built and sent across every channel — or start with the Reviews module and expand. |
Who it's for
Built for how guests actually tell you about a visit.
Independent restaurants
Catch a bad table visit while it's still fixable — a kiosk by the till or a QR on the receipt gets you the answer before the guest leaves.
Bars
A quick smiley survey at last orders or a QR by the till, with a fast route to the manager when a score is low.
Private-dining & events teams
Send a post-event email invitation and see feedback broken down per event, so problems on one night don't get lost in the average.
Multi-section venues
Run one survey across every section and see the analytics split by channel, so you know where feedback is — and isn’t — coming from.
Turn every visit into feedback you can act on.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
Who is this guest feedback tool for?
It's built for restaurants, bars and venues that want structured feedback from guests after a visit — captured by table kiosk, QR code, link or email — with a fast route to service recovery when a score is low.
Will this help us get more Google reviews?
The module can invite every guest to leave a public review — it does not gate or filter invitations by the score a guest gave. The value we'd point to first is internal: catching an unhappy visit and routing it to your team before it's ever public.
How do we see negative feedback before it becomes a public review?
A low-scoring response can route straight to your team for service recovery, so you hear about a bad visit and can act on it, rather than finding out only if — or after — a guest posts about it publicly.
Can we ask a follow-up question only when a guest gives a low score?
Yes. Conditional "Only if…" logic wires a follow-up to any question — stars, NPS, choice or yes/no — and one-click pre-wired follow-ups exist for a low star rating or a low NPS score. The follow-up appears only when the trigger is met; otherwise it's skipped, and answers to skipped questions are never stored.
What channels can we collect feedback through?
Four, from one survey: a web/QR link, an embeddable website widget (floating button, popup or corner slide-up), a tokenized email invitation, and a tablet kiosk — every response tagged with the channel it came from.
How does the feedback kiosk work, and can we change the survey remotely?
Register a tablet, get a stable kiosk link, and assign it a survey from the admin. The kiosk checks its assignment every 60 seconds, so swapping or restyling the survey from your desk repoints the tablet within a minute — you never need to touch the device itself.
Nobody fills in surveys — will this be different?
The design is built for completion: one-tap smileys and stars, a full-screen one-question-per-screen layout on kiosks and pop-ups, and follow-ups that only appear when they're relevant, so guests aren't asked things that don't apply to them.
Is guest feedback data handled securely and GDPR-compliant?
Responses are personal data, scoped per organisation with export and deletion available, in line with UK GDPR. Answers to any question a guest skips are never stored. The public survey page can be embedded anywhere, which is normal for a public form — that's a permissive setting for compatibility, not a security-hardening claim.
Can we see feedback broken down by channel or by question?
Yes. The Analytics tab breaks results down per question — distributions, averages and NPS — and per channel and per kiosk, over 7, 30 or 90 days, with a submissions log you can export to CSV.
Does the AI summarise open-text feedback for us?
Not yet confirmed for this module — today it's built around capture, conditional logic and analytics rather than AI analysis of free-text responses. Ask us during a demo for the latest.
